Weekend Away and Back Again

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
Ephesians 5:8

My husband and I took a mini-away-time this weekend while my daughter competed in Special Olympics.  We went to the beach.  I loved the beach - but I missed the trees.  God's hand is everywhere.  Every.  Where.  Gorgeous!  He is an amazing artist! (And, my daughter got a bronze medal and got to dance the night away....)

  1. Hi Janet! Welcome back! I've missed your posts. Congrats to your daughter on her medal, and congrats to you on getting away a bit. Your photos are so gorgeous, from the quiet of the beach, to the riot of colors in the leaves. I just love fall!
    Monday Blessings!

    1. Thanks Ceil! I've missed writing posts - and the end still isn't really in sight. I'm in a long-term sub position, so I'm working full-time as opposed to half-time all year last year - AND I have some lesson planning to do since it's a different grade level than I taught previously. I like lesson planning and I like the kids and the school, but I MISS writing, and I miss friends like you.

The beach was nice - that's where Sierra's competition was, but I now know that I am definitely a tree person. As soon as we got home on Sunday, I was out and about with my camera. I didn't want to miss the colors. I love fall, too! I hope you have a wonderful week! Hugs. Janet

    1. Hi Amanda - Yay for Sierra is right - especially since she had been practicing with a bowling ramp and then was told she couldn't use it at the Games. She kept a great attitude, though. I was proud of her. Thanks about the photos - I LOVE fall - and I'm so glad to be experiencing it here instead of TX. I love your family pic! I can't believe how big those girls are - and you and Chris look amazing! Thanks for visiting - have a great week! Janet

I know we probably haven't met in person, but I believe that the sharing of our ideas and thoughts, sometimes our hearts and souls, makes us more than strangers. I would like to say friends. Thank you for taking the time to contribute to my little space - I appreciate you.
