Happenstance. The flower was facing the wrong direction, but I liked the light. Hmmm.... Maybe it wasn't facing the wrong direction after all. Thinking about walking in His Light today - and having fun with font colors in the verse - asking His Light into my life. Have a joy-filled Saturday. Janet

Dear Janet
ReplyDeleteThis picture reminds me of a field of sunflowers and how the flowers turn their heads all through the day as the sun moves. It seems as if they have more wisdom as most people.
Blessings XX
Mia
As I looked through my photos, I thought the same thing - except not a field, just a single flower turning toward the sunlight. Like me, turning toward the God-light. They certainly set an example, don't they? Janet
DeleteHi Janet! Isn't a great thing to 'have fun' with the word of God? It's not all serious all the time! I will be praying that we both walk in his light today, and be that light to at least one other person.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend, my friend!
Ceil
Hi Ceil, It IS fun to see multiple meanings in God's word. On one hand, it makes me smile - on the other, it makes me gasp. What a beautiful prayer - thank you. Janet
DeleteNeat. Love the photo, the Word, and the explanation. Always a treat to see how the Lord is poured into hearts.
ReplyDeleteHi Caryjo - What a great image "...see how the Lord is poured into hearts." I think I'm going to have to start looking over my 'water' pictures for a future post. He has definitely poured 'encourager' into your heart - Thank you, friend. Blessings! Janet
DeleteBeautiful photo. This brought to mind that our direction may not make sense to others but we know that we are following Him. Great message in that little flower. Visiting from Sunday Stillness this morning.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday!
Joanne
How insightful! You're right, our direction may not make sense or be completely understood - but we
DeleteDO try our best to follow Him! Thanks for visiting! Have a joy-filled week!
Janet
Oh how I love your photo and the scripture you have paired it with. A beautiful message today. Wishing you a blessed Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBeth
Hi Beth - Thank you! This is one of my favorites. Speaking of...I love Psalm 91, I used to change the pronouns and make it a prayer for Kevin's deployment - thank you for sharing such a meaningful verse! In joy!
DeleteJanet
Love the photo - the flower even seems bent as it turns toward the sunlight. He is our Light.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and thanks for linking to SundayStillness.

It IS bent, Janis - like it's bowing, huh? Thank you for sharing what you see...I hope you have joy-filled week. Janet
ReplyDeletebeautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteI chucked at your comment on my blog as you wrote about surrender as I am beginning a month of blogging 31 days of surrender. God's timing is astounding, yes?
Astounding, amazing, and wonderfully humorous sometimes - I look forward to following what you say! Joy! Janet
DeleteJust beautiful, Janet. And I understand fully what you mean about the light. The flower knew what it was doing!
ReplyDeleteBetter than I do, sometimes, Alison. Lesson learned! Thanks for visiting. Janet
